EDGAR atom feed
The real-time RSS-style feed of new SEC filings — ~5-15 second latency from acceptance.
Definition
EDGAR's 'getcurrent' atom feed at sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcurrent surfaces the most recent ~100 filings as an RSS-style XML feed, updated within 5-15 seconds of SEC's acceptance of each filing. It's free, requires only a User-Agent header, and is the canonical entry point for systematic filing monitoring.
The atom feed exposes accession number, form type, filer name, and (for 8-Ks) filer-reported items. The actual filing body lives at /Archives/edgar/data/{cik}/{accession}/{primary-document}.htm.
